2004 HFTP Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame Inductee at Dallas, Texas, USA. First non-American to be inducted at HITEC.

A founding member of Hotel Technology-Next Generation (HTNG) in June 2002 an industry organisation to facilitate the development of next-generation, customer-centric technologies to better meet the needs of the global hotel community. http://www.htng.org.

A founding member of The Hospitality Information Technology Association (HITA) formed on January 26, 1992 by a group of hospitality educators, industry practitioners and Information Technology vendors attending a technology conference presented by Cornell University's School of Hotel Administration, Ithaca, New York. http://www.hitaworld.org

Launched the first dedicated Australian Hospitality Technology Conference and Exhibition held in Sydney in August 1996. Since 2002 this event has now been incorporated into another show called "Hospitality LIVE".   • HITEC (the Hospitality Industry Technology Exhibition and Conference held in the U.S. each year), every year since 1989.
  • EurHotec the Pan-European hospitality technology show held in Europe by the International Hotel and Restaurant Association.

Been a keynote speaker at major conferences over the last 7 years both in Australia and Overseas including the HITEC and UK Technology show.

Regularly gives guest lectures at major hospitality colleges throughout Australia and overseas.

Career Background includes:

Own Consulting Practice specialising in Technology Consulting to the Hospitality Industry from 1989 to the present.

National Marketing Manger of JCN Systems, at one time one of Australia’s largest Front Office System suppliers.

Consultant with Horwath & Horwath.

Six years experience with at the time, one of Australia’s largest hospitality Point of Sale suppliers, HRC, including the establishment of the Victorian office in 1981. During this period he pioneered the introduction of PC-based stock control systems to suburban hotels in Melbourne and over a five year period was involved in more than eighty sites, ranging from sites such as the Regent Hotel and Victorian Arts Centre Complex to small country hotels.

Eighteen months with NCR where he received his basic training in Point of Sale Systems.
